What is a prize crane machine?
A prize crane, also called a claw machine or arcade grabber, is the classic arcade game where players steer a claw over a pile of prizes and try to grab one. Our prize crane hire brings that nostalgic excitement to your event, drawing attention from across the room and giving guests a fun reason to stop and play.
Do players need coins or tokens?
No. Our claw machines are set to free play, so guests simply press the button and go. There's nothing to collect or count, which keeps things easy for you and your guests.
What prizes can go in the machine?
You supply the prizes, so you can tailor them to your audience: branded merchandise, promotional giveaways, sweets, gift cards, vouchers or plush toys. We include 100 x 95mm capsules with every hire, ideal for small items or a golden ticket for a top prize.
Can the prize crane be branded?
Yes. Choose a Branded Internal Panel (£95 + VAT), Branded Front Panel (£125 + VAT), Branded Front & Side Panels (£245 + VAT) or a Branded Full Wrap (£475 + VAT). Design is free, and our in-house team prints, fits and removes the branding for you. Please book early to allow time for printing, as branded items are paid in full when you book.
How many people can play?
One player at a time. Each go is quick, so around 60 players an hour can have a turn, keeping the queue moving at busy events.
Is staff included?
Staff aren't included as standard, and adult supervision is required. If you'd like us to look after the machine, keep the queue moving and top up prizes, add a member of our team for £50 + VAT per hour.
Can you supply multiple machines?
Yes. We can supply multiple prize cranes for larger exhibitions and activations, helping you maximise engagement and throughput in high-footfall areas.
What space and power do I need?
Each machine measures approximately 2ft x 2ft and is 6ft tall. Please allow a space of around 2.6ft x 2.6ft with 6.5ft of height, and a standard 13amp socket within 30m. The machine can't be carried up or down stairs, so we'll need lift access if your event isn't on the ground floor, with an access width of at least 2.6ft.
What age is it suitable for?
Our prize cranes are suitable for ages 5 and over, and they're just as popular with adults as with children.
Can it be used outdoors?
The prize crane is designed for indoor use, but it can be set up outdoors under cover on a hard or grass surface, as long as it's protected from the weather.
Where do you deliver your prize crane machines?
Whether you need prize crane hire in London or claw machine hire in Manchester, we cover the whole of the UK from our East Midlands base, with delivery charged based on your event location. We regularly supply venues including ExCeL London, NEC Birmingham, St James' Park, the Royal Albert Hall and Bournemouth International Centre. See our Delivery Areas for more.
Do you hire other interactive games?
Yes. Alongside prize crane hire we offer Cash Grabber Hire, Ballnado Grabber Hire, Arcade Machine Hire and our full Arcade Game Hire range, perfect for building a games zone at exhibitions, trade shows and staff parties.
